Coming from a small town in the Midwest, I was looking for a city to inspire me. My hope was to find a thrilling affair with a place, to get lost in something bigger than me. Time passed, and I felt rejected. Still, I continued to work and pursue my hobbies here while looking for other places to live. Philadelphia found me in that pursuit. The relationship we’ve had is slow and subtle. We are growing together. There’s something bigger than the both of us. We find it in each other.
