I was born in Israel the year it became a state. Moved to NYC when I was twelve with my family, where I lived for many a year. Found the “Home of the Brave” tchotchke on a jaunt up the coast of Maine one summer. At the time of 9/11, I had a business as a couturier in mid-town Manhattan. After the disaster, I created a memorial in my showroom which featured this cogent reminder. When I moved to Philadelphia a decade ago, the “Home of the Brave” moved with me.
