These green beads represent the Mummers New Year’s Parade. The parade is a family tradition of mine. It started with my grandmom who was 2 years old when she was in it for the first time. We still do it today with the Froggy Carr Wench brigade. My first parade was when I was 10 months old! Someone in the parade gave me green beads to wear that first time and I still have them now that I am 12 years old. Now when I’m in the parade I always give green beads to the little babies I see.
