A native son, I was born at the old St. Agnes Hospital in South Philly. After college and military service (Korea and Japan), I became a global nomad, traveling throughout Europe and the Mediterranean, then plying my career in the applied arts in Seattle, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Brussels, Rome and Prague. I returned to South Philly with my family in 1996, buying a house three blocks from where my grandfather started his first men’s clothing store. Talk about going back to one’s roots! Sunrises in South Philly can be enchanting, despite the urban setting.  All one has to do is get up early enough to enjoy them…
