This is the Husky brand 1″ C-clamp. It costs about a buck-fifty although you can get a bulk discount. It is a simple perfect tool capable of applying significant pressure to a single point. The Husky 1″ C-clamp enables me to connect two pieces of wood together at a cross section. These cross sections multiply; they gain structure and become a form. I currently own approximately 600 of these clamps. I need to purchase more. They are the red blood cells of my life, conjoining the fractions of steam bent wood that I mold into sculptures. I don’t know how many hours I have spent tightening Husky 1″ C-clamps but it is significant. I hope to spend many more hours with clamps in my hand.
