This frog is one of a three-piece set and has been with me for over twenty years. When my first love, who was a year older than me, went away to college, he mailed them to me as one of many silly but thoughtful gifts. For some reason, these frogs have always been kept together and near me through my coming of age years and into middle age. They have joined me in many baths, were used as subject matter in my Two-Dimensional Design course freshman year, and have taken up shelf space in various living and work quarters over the years. I like to think of them as a reminder of my youth, and a sentimental silly type of “guardian” over my professional, and still at times, silly exploits.
