jawn (slang Philadelphia): something; any object, place, or thing.

I am a card maker and transplant by way of Miami, Florida.  I first fell in love with Philly upon visiting relatives and seeing real snow (as opposed to occasional Miami frost).  When I meet people who have moved here from parts unknown I often say, “If you can use the word jawn confidently and correctly in a complete sentence, then you’re good.”
