Our daughter Michele grew up in Philadelphia, taking music lessons at Settlement Music School, starting at age three. She began with rhythm classes, then recorder classes and by middle school she went on to the oboe. Enclosed are four oboe reeds. Her oboe prowess took her to All City, and Regional Orchestras. As parents we drove her to her lessons, listened when she practiced, attended her concerts, and enjoyed the music. We also spent a lot of money on reeds and instruments. She attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she performed in Baroque Ensembles, which we always attended. Today, she lives in Austin, Texas, and we miss hearing her play.
