My internship this summer has pushed me out of the cozy suburban area that swaddles Haverford College and into the beating heart of Philly. Learning the flow of public transit has inducted me into the shared rhythm of commuters in Philly. In this way, I have been more profoundly connected with the city in a way that I had never anticipated. In addition to the sense of familiarity I have gained in the spaces that I have become accustomed to passing through, there is a tacit connection I have found in my fellow commuters too. This is my Philly story.
