In the year 2016, I went for the first time to Asian Arts Initiative for the summer program Young Arts Workshop to have new experiences with new people. In my life I have traveled to many places; in some I was welcome, and in other I wasn’t.  When I came to AAI, I felt like it was my home. There were good people around me, and one day I completely fell in love with the Asian culture, even though my own language is in no way similar.  Even though I am a Latina, Asian cultures make me feel very creative.
