I found this tree pod on a field trip to graffiti pier during my time at Moore College of Art & Design, the first and only women’s art school in the country. These pods and the city itself inspired so many different works of art. To me Philadelphia is where I found my voice as an artist and woman. Even though I am from West Chester, a suburb of Philly, I really only got to know this vibrant city through Moore. I made so many great friends and memories that have shaped how I am today.
