Heart-Shaped Rocks

I have been fascinated with heart shapes occurring in nature and the city for many years. I am always looking for these heart-shaped objects to collect and to photograph when I am out walking around the city. There are actually quite a lot of heart shapes on our Philadelphia streets and sidewalks and also in the bark of some of our trees and certainly in the leaves of various plants. Also, there are many beautiful hearts in the old iron work around the city. I always find heart-shaped rocks when I walk along the Schuylkill Banks River Trail and I keep them all together in a wooden box. I also make collages from my photographs of these heart shapes. It is proof to me of love and beauty being a natural part of our world. I have decided to share one of my heart-shaped rocks with you for this project.
