Well, first I should say that I am always looking down and picking up things I see on the ground.  I found the dish shard on the 900 block of North Orianna Street.  It was with several others of the same plate, but I only picked up one.  I found the rusty bolts while digging in my back patio/yard.  My house was built on the site of the old Dolly Madison Ice-cream factory.  I best thing I found while digging behind my house was a piece of a cotton stocking with the seam sewn up the back.  I don’t know what became of that.  The piece of brick and mortar is a section of the wall around Washington Square. It was a chunk of wall near the Southwest corner. I tried but was unable to find out when the wall was built.
