Philadelphia is an important city to me. It is the first city that I lived in by myself and studied English and art. I took a basic drawing class in The University of the Arts. At first, I thought that the class was too easy for me because I had studied art for over ten years. Nevertheless, the class was the best drawing class I have ever had, and I learned lots of things from this class. When I draw with my pencil, I used an eraser as just an eraser, but my professor asked us to use our erasers to express atmosphere and contrast.  I made the eraser part of my strategy. I tried to use the eraser not only as an eraser, but also as another drawing tool. Using erasers was more difficult than using pencils. However, I can now get satisfactory results with the eraser. I have one more tool than before.
