The rabbit was discovered in the midst of the snow, sullied gray by a constant bombard of car exhaust. I walked by, completely unaware of its constant glare. My friend pointed it out. I love her ability to see the value in things that people quickly toss away, like me. I quickly retrieved it, held it, and washed it in a public restroom. I gave new life to the rabbit. Even though my time with it was short, its experience mirrors my own.
