This necklace belonged to my father who passed away in 1996. I knew little about him and it has often been hard growing up without him. For twenty years I’ve carried his necklace with me. It has helped me navigate these city streets. It has helped me find new things, meet new people, and grow in ways I might not have imagined. It is a chain, a rope, a tether sometimes pulling me back and sometimes leading me forward.
